It too has an optional rain cover and an internal leash clip. The Sporty Pet Bike Basket, though, has two water bottle holders and looks, well, sportier. RoccoAndJezebel.com’s Brody Bag comes in two sizes: Mini (8.5Hx14Lx8W) and Medium (9.5Hx16Lx10W). Both would work well as in-cabin airplane carriers. They have lots of mesh ventilation panels, including one on top, so you can see down into the carrier when it’s at your feet. The interior is well-padded and easy to clean, and there are several useful exterior pockets.

The Petaboard carrier comes in one size (Extra Small: 10Hx15Lx7W) but two different styles. I like the appearance of Style B (pictured at right) better than Style A, but either way, it’s a terrific in-cabin airplane carrier for a truly tiny dog. It’s well-made, has plenty of ventilation, and includes a built-in sleeve/pocket that can be slipped over a suitcase’s handle. What’s not to love?

Teafco’s Argo Petascope comes in two sizes: Small (9.25Hx16Lx11.5W) and Medium (11.5Hx23Lx11.5H). Both are chic, well-designed and well-made. Only the Small size, however, will work as an in-cabin airplane carrier (the Medium is much too long to work). Please note that only a tiny dog or cat will fit in the Small size — any pet larger than 7 lbs. is probably not going to be comfortable.

Teafco’s Argo line of pet carriers is well-designed and beautifully made. That said, I’m just baffled by the Tally-Ho Wheeled Pet Carrier. It’s meant to be both a pet carrier and an overnight bag. Your pet goes in a “roomy pet compartment” on the bottom, and your clothing goes into “a small duffle bag sized compartment” on top. The whole bag is sized to “fit in most airplanes’ overhead compartments.” Um, what?? I can believe that the bag fits…
